Information about REACH
The chemical products that you purchase from Claessons Trätjära AB have been compared with the requirements of the REACH legislation, and satisfy these.

This means that the substances that are components of the products manufactured by Claessons Trätjära have been preregistered in REACH, provided that the substance is manufactured in an amount of over 1,000 kg per year, and that the substance is not exempt from the preregistration requirement.

This means also that we have received guarantees from our suppliers that the substances that are components of their products have been preregistered in REACH, provided that the substance is manufactured in an amount of over 1,000 kg per year, and that the substance is not exempt from the preregistration requirement.

Thus a substance that a manufacturer produces in an amount that is less than 1,000 kg per year is not subject to the requirement for preregistration in REACH.

Certain substances are exempt from the requirements of REACH with respect to registration, information to downstream customers and evaluation. This is the case for well-known substances that have been assessed as giving rise to minimal risk, taking their innate properties into consideration. Examples of such substances are linseed oil, oleic acid, charcoal, sunflower seed oil, rapeseed oil and tallow. More information about exempted substances can be found in the REACH ordinance, 1907/2006/EC, Article 2.7 a and Annex IV.
